We study a quantum many-body variant of the parametric oscillator by investigating driven sine-Gordon model with modulated tunnel coupling via semiclassical truncated Wigner approximation (TWA). first analyze resonant regime for driving protocols that retain our gapped, and compare TWA to time-dependent Gaussian variational ansatz (TGVA). then turn drive which closes gap, resulting in an enhanced energy absorption. While TGVA approach breaks down this regime, we can apply explore dynamics mode-resolved density higher-order correlations between modes prethermal heating regime. For weak amplitude, find exponentially fast absorption main mode, while all remaining is almost perfectly suppressed on short timescales. At later times, highly excited resonance provides effective terms its higher harmonics through nonlinearities Hamiltonian, gives rise these particular modes. capture strong induced processes evaluating connected correlation functions. Our results be experimentally probed ultracold-atomic settings, parallel one-dimensional quasicondensates presence coupling.
